## Whales' Pressure (accumulation and distribution phases)

The indicator analyzes volumes and abnormal market movements to detect the activity of large players who can move the entire market.

{% hint style="danger" %}
The market always moves cyclically - first the accumulation phase, then the distribution phase.

Many do not understand the basics of market movements and lose money trading "against the market"!
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/44c355d5422a716045e635c0201744f455ae573b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<mark style="color:yellow;">**Yellow histogram ||||||**</mark> shows the accumulation and distribution phases, and precisely indicates the moment when the "whales" enter or exit the market:

* **From below** - buyers' pressure (zones where large players accumulate assets)
* **From above** - sellers' pressure (zones where large players sell assets)
* **Histogram height** - indicates the strength of the pressure (the higher, the greater the pressure)

## Whales' market impulse purchases

<figure><img src="/files/1bf4678dbcd3f018e003f13027af42a73bbd639a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<mark style="color:purple;">Purple waves</mark> 🌊 show precise moments **of impulse buying or selling** by large players - when whales make significant trades:

* **From below** - large purchases (big money flows into the market)
* **From above** - large sales (big money is withdrawn from the market)
* **Wave height** - indicates the volume of operations (the higher the wave, the greater the volume)
* **Wave peak** - precisely shows the optimal entry point

## Pump\&Dump signals

<figure><img src="/files/850477e2865225aefbeb6d090a286cd78ea1e365" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<mark style="color:yellow;">**Yellow circles**</mark> 🟡 indicate the moment when a large player tries to <mark style="color:green;">**pump**</mark> or <mark style="color:red;">**dump**</mark> the market - at this moment extreme market trades occur - when large players execute market orders:

* **From below** - a large player is ready <mark style="color:green;">**pump**</mark> market
* **From above** - a large player is ready <mark style="color:red;">**dump**</mark> market
* **Circle brightness** - shows the strength of the pump or dump

{% hint style="info" %}
You can set up [an automatic alert](/faq-en/alert-setup.md) to detect powerful pump and dump signals and receive notifications in TradingView or Telegram, fully automating your analysis!
{% endhint %}

## Application in trading

Whales dictate market movement - knowing where they accumulate or close positions, you trade with the strongest market participants, not against them.

<mark style="color:yellow;">**Yellow histogram ||||||**</mark> is needed to determine the stages of accumulation or distribution (market bottom and peak) and predict a trend reversal - it happens at the moment when it disappears:

* While there is a yellow histogram below - there is <mark style="color:green;">**an accumulation phase**</mark>, when it ends - the price reverses and goes up - at this moment you should buy
* While there is a yellow histogram above - there is <mark style="color:red;">**a distribution phase**</mark>, when it ends - the price reverses and goes down - at this moment you should sell

<mark style="color:purple;">**Purple waves**</mark> 🌊 <mark style="color:yellow;">**yellow circles**</mark> 🟡 are needed to find precise moments to build positions. Peaks and circles are places where whales open maximum positions - this can be the best entry point for a trade.

{% hint style="success" %}
First of all, try the simplest [trading strategies based on whales' movements](/faq-en/simple-strategies.md#shag-3-torgovlya-po-kitovym-dvizheniyam) from the indicator developer

<figure><img src="/files/d10ec4e0f9465f89040c994873a92874bf224087" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In the example we see how, after the end of the accumulation phase with impulse purchases, the price rushes upward.

Entry point at <mark style="color:green;">**long**</mark> - the moment of the end <mark style="color:yellow;">**of the yellow histogram ||||||**</mark>
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Distribution phase" %}

<figure><img src="/files/84b0c8bb74844bd6c6877bacd815083edbbecad1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In the example we see how, after the end of the distribution phase with impulse sales, the price rushes downward.

Entry point at <mark style="color:red;">**short**</mark> - the moment of the end <mark style="color:yellow;">**of the yellow histogram ||||||**</mark>
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Pump signal" %}

<figure><img src="/files/833ef03a1f92209475b1aa83bacfb85eaa398c38" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In this example on the two-day timeframe, a bright yellow circle very precisely indicated the absolute market bottom.

On higher timeframes - this is a very strong signal of trend ending and market reversal.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Impulse purchases" %}

<figure><img src="/files/d8ff932bf58646a3de8b2abe3918ed27d6e41aec" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In the example we see how wave peaks coincide with price peaks - this can be used to build and lock in positions.

There can be several purple peaks - it's better to open and close positions in parts.

Works in sideways markets and in the direction of the trend. Against the trend there is a lot of noise!
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Important to understand the main thing - large players cannot acquire the required position all at once! If you follow the whales, it's important to split the position into several orders and also build it in parts.
{% endhint %}
