# Alert setup

Don’t watch the chart all day — let the chart call you when there’s a reason to make a trade!

❌ One of the main problems in trading is constantly watching the chart, being afraid to miss a move, and still entering too late!

You can sit at the monitor for hours, get tired, lose focus, and miss truly strong entry points because there are too many tickers + different time frames — in the end, it’s simply impossible to keep track of everything.

✅ Midas helps and monitors only the necessary charts for you, sending signals to your phone, computer, or email, thereby completely solving all the main pain points!

* you don’t need to sit at the chart 24/7
* you don’t miss important signals
* you can monitor many assets at once
* the market stays under control even when you’re busy with your favorite things

Midas helps not just analyze the chart, but build a more systematic approach to trading tailored to your style and the market!

## Step-by-step guide to setting up alerts

Setting up an alert takes literally a couple of clicks — you open the needed chart, choose the asset and the timeframe on which you want to receive signals.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Choose an asset and timeframe to set up an alert

\- Buy & Sell signals are best set up on a lower timeframe, where you usually choose the entry point for a trade

\- signals for bounces and breakouts of levels, trend changes - are better set up on a higher timeframe to reduce noise and receive only strong signals
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Open the alert settings

Open the indicator menu by clicking the three dots to the right of the name

Click "Add alert..."

<figure><img src="https://4093707630-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FA70inlS85nc75Z80g6at%2Fuploads%2FbruFpcVhs1p9XwyOrjvb%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=87f57301-f196-489b-92ae-d2b8a55617fb" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Select the signal you need for notifications

To receive the main signal notifications <mark style="color:green;">**BUY**</mark> + <mark style="color:red;">**SELL**</mark> + <mark style="color:$primary;">**TP**</mark>, you need to select:

**"On any alert function call"** (set by default — no need to change it)

<figure><img src="https://4093707630-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FA70inlS85nc75Z80g6at%2Fuploads%2F34lLEVHV4eFY0JDCGpW2%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=e2745fdd-d7ce-4daa-881e-6509dec5c8e9" alt="" width="296"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To set up advanced alert scenarios, open this menu and choose the needed notification type — the upper and lower indicators have different notification types

<figure><img src="https://4093707630-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FA70inlS85nc75Z80g6at%2Fuploads%2FaYF2sFazc9aQgHvEx7Bc%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=97e5853a-ef5c-403f-bda3-08131e1f3beb" alt="" width="262"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set up a convenient notification method

Before finishing, you can choose:

\- alert duration

\- the message that will be displayed when triggered

\- where the alert will be sent

<figure><img src="https://4093707630-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FA70inlS85nc75Z80g6at%2Fuploads%2F1iKLEwIQbbVOFVckepta%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=f069a9e8-5a2f-447b-895d-dd0092bcd521" alt="" width="296"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can receive notifications in the mobile app, in the browser, by email, and with a sound alert — choose the ones that are convenient for you

<figure><img src="https://4093707630-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FA70inlS85nc75Z80g6at%2Fuploads%2FonsXh0vvD2S95AQ8SPNC%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=6632e053-3c75-413b-b172-16d0749c7722" alt="" width="295"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Available types of alerts in Midas

Any alert is created for the indicator parameters that you have selected at the moment the alert is created — the strategy, trend filter, and other parameters are taken into account.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you change the indicator settings, the parameters of previously created notifications will not change!
{% endhint %}

Alerts are available for almost any event of the upper and lower indicators:

* Buy & Sell + RP + SL (choose **"On any alert function call")**
* Appearance of more than 3 divergences
* Bounces off levels (when price reached the [level](https://faq.midas-club.com/faq-en/faq-midas-up/support-and-resistance-levels) and bounced off it)
* Breakout of levels (when price closed by the body of the candle [beyond the level](https://faq.midas-club.com/faq-en/faq-midas-up/support-and-resistance-levels))
* Signals <mark style="color:green;">**PUMP**</mark> & <mark style="color:red;">**DUMP**</mark> (bright [yellow circles](https://faq.midas-club.com/faq-en/faq-midas-down/whale-movement#signal-pampa))
* Reversals of money flow (when [money flow](https://faq.midas-club.com/faq-en/faq-midas-down/money-flow) starts rising or falling)
* Trend ribbon change (when [trend ribbon](https://faq.midas-club.com/faq-en/faq-midas-down/trend-ribbon) starts rising or falling)
* End of accumulation and distribution (when the [yellow histogram](https://faq.midas-club.com/faq-en/faq-midas-down/whale-movement#faza-nakopleniya))
* Price momentum reversal (when on the [price impulse](https://faq.midas-club.com/faq-en/faq-midas-down/price-momentum) a circle appears)

If you don’t have a paid TradingView subscription or a Premium plan, that’s not a problem!

Even on the free plan, several alerts are available, and for full control of your market at any **Midas subscription includes** [**screeners**](https://faq.midas-club.com/faq-en/faq-screeners)that monitor **TradingView TOP-1000 tickers** 24/7 across all major markets and signal types!

[**screeners**](https://faq.midas-club.com/faq-en/faq-screeners) they help you quickly find assets where there is movement right now, so you always have something to trade right now — this is especially useful for those who want to see more opportunities but don’t want to hit limits and spend money on TradingView subscriptions.

{% hint style="success" %}
If you already have a Premium subscription to [TradingView](https://ru.tradingview.com/pricing/?share_your_love=aleksandrov_evgen), you can set alerts not only for one ticker, but for the entire selected watchlist, for example for several dozen or hundreds of instruments at once!
{% endhint %}

## At what moment is it better to receive the signal

Midas signals are not repainted after the candle closes. This is an important part of the system’s reliability, but while the candle is still forming, the signal may change or disappear.

✅ So you choose which option is closer to you!

<figure><img src="https://4093707630-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FA70inlS85nc75Z80g6at%2Fuploads%2FhCXT2R0fchG9EyDeCYB0%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=527ce748-ecc9-46a4-8470-5bfd6c30eb88" alt="" width="329"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**If you work on lower timeframes** - it’s better to wait for the candle to close; there will be less noise and fewer false triggers.

**If you work on higher timeframes** - you can receive the signal before the candle closes, so as not to miss a strong move and prepare in advance.

**The bottom line is simple:**

* if you want more confirmation — wait for the candle to close
* if you want to be closer to the start of the move — get the signal earlier

Midas lets you choose the approach that fits your trading style!
